PURPLE HEART ARMY VET CHARGED WITH MURDER AFTER FIGHT

Rodney Hamilton, 52, was murdered on December 9, 2023 on Camp Greene St. Charlotte, NC. Jamar Davis, 37, was arrested, accused of the homicide. Jamar was in the United States Army. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The men were near Reba’s Bar. A fight broke out at 4 a.m. The fight spilled into the street. Several shots were fired and Rodney was shot. 

Officers were in the area and heard gunshots being fired. Officers then located Rodney on the street. 

Rodney was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.As a result of the continued investigation, detectives identified Jamar as a suspect in this case. Jamar was arrested and charged with murder.

Jamar served in Iraq as a solider in the military, he was in a blast explosion and earned the Purple Heart for saving another soldier’s life. Jmar was also shot in the face multiple times when he returned to the USA.

Jamar has been arrested multiple times over the years.
