PHONE ALERTS ACROSS STATE, POLICE OFFICER KILLED AT GAS STATION

A police officer in Greensboro caught a 187 murder at a Sheetz gas station which set off alerts to everyone’s phone

187 is the police code name for murder. On December 30, 2023 a cop was murdered at a Sheetz gas station in Greensboro, NC. The officer was with the Greensboro Police Department. The officer’s murder triggered alerts to everyone’s cell phone in North Carolina.

At 9 p.m. 2 suspects shot and killed a watch commander officer with the department at the Sheetz gas station on Sandy Ridge Road.Police said the two suspects were men in their early 20s. The suspects sped off down I-40 in a black Chevrolet Equinox that had a Hertz Car Sales plate on the front of it.

The officer shooting initiated a Blue Alert on phones across North Carolina. The Blue Alert is issued to aid in the apprehension of violent criminals who have killed or seriously injured an officer in the line of duty.

In November 2023 Greensboro Police Department Officer Ciji Graham died due to natural causes at her home. She was a mother of one child.

In November 2018 Greensboro Police Officer Jared Franks died while responding to a robbery call. His car collided with another police car, and Jared died.
