Paramedic Mark Hayes of the Mecklenburg County Medics died on May 13, 2023 while on duty from a medical emergency in Charlotte, NC.
Mark was working the night shift when he died suddenly. Thankfully Mark was in the paramedics truck with a co-worker. The co-worker provided aid and called for help on the radio.
Responding paramedics arrived at the scene. It is not clear if Mark died on scene or at the hospital. At this time, the exact street location where Mark had his medical emergency is not known.
Mark has been part of the Medic family since 1997 and touched countless lives since then, including his coworkers and patients.
