MURDER CHARGES DISMISSED AFTER BLACK MAN STABBED TO DEATH

Christopher Miller, 44, and Leslie King, 41, were both charged with the murder of 50-year-old Michael Workman. But on October 20, 2023 prosecutors under the guise of District Attorney Spencer Merriweather dismissed the murder charges on Leslie and Christopher in Charlotte, NC.

Michael was stabbed to death on February 8, 2023 at 3:45 a.m. on Willard Street in Charlotte.

 Michael laid on the street dying until someone called 911 to report the stabbing. Paramedics rushed to the scene and took Michael to the hospital, where he died within minutes.

Christopher and Leslie were arrested 2 days later charged with Michael’s murder. On October 20, 2023 prosecutors with the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office dismissed the murder charges on Christopher and Leslie. 

There was no plea agreement involved. Court documents indicate this was a voluntary dismissal by prosecutors. 

Christopher and Leslie were released from jail on the night of October 20th.
