MOTHER CHARGED WITH KILLING HER 3-YEAR-OLD SON

Candise Griffin, 31, was arrested on March 5, 2024 accused in the killing of her 3-year-old son Carter Jimenez in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Carter was shot and killed on February 21, 2024 via a self inflicted gunshot wound at a residence in Charlotte on Eastway Dr.

At 6 p.m. Carter found an unsecured gun and accidentally shot himself in the head. 911 was called and Carter was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Unfortunately, baby Carter died at the hospital. Carter’s parents were in the middle of a child custody dispute with Carter.

Weeks after the shooting, Carter’s mom Candise was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to Carter finding the gun and killing himself.
