MASSAGE PARLOR EMPLOYEE FOUND GUILTY OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING FEMALE PATIENTS

Date:

On January 17, 2024 Eugene Gatling, 39, was convicted of sexual assaulting female patients at a massage parlor where he was employed in Charlotte, NC.

Eugene was a massage therapist at a spa in the southpark area of Charlotte.

On January 13, 2021, Eugene sexually assaulted a client after she fell asleep on the massage table, prosecutors say.

Eugene had previously sexually assaulted another woman at a different massage spa location in Charlotte, less than seven months earlier, according to the court.

The jury found Eugene guilty of second degree forcible sex offense and sexual battery.

The jury also found that prosecutors proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Eugene abused his position of trust and confidence when he committed the sexual assault.

Eugene will be sentenced at a later date.
