MAN’S KILLING RULED JUSTIFIED HOMICIDE, NO CHARGES

On August 15, 2022 the decision was made not to charge the individual that shot and killed Johnny Green, 23. The case was ruled as a justified homicide. Johnny was shot and killed on July 17, 2022 on McAlway Road Charlotte, NC inside an apartment.

Johnny was shot around 3 a.m. at an apartment. Paramedics found Johnny inside the apartment suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Johnny was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Following an investigation, detectives with the homicide unit have classified this case as a justified homicide. The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office has consulted with CMPD’s Homicide Unit and concurs with the detectives’ decision not to charge anyone in this case.
