Antoine Debold, 34, shot several shots at officers during a SWAT encounter on June 2, 2021 at a home on Little Abbey Lane Charlotte, NC.
Shortly before 1:45 p.m., officers responded to Little Abbey Lane in reference to a domestic disturbance call. As officers knocked on the door and announced themselves, Antoine allegedly shot several rounds from a gun at them.
Scared and shocked, officers immediately retreated to safety and began to evacuate surrounding apartments.
As officers worked to ensure the safety of those in the immediate area, Antoine continued to fire additional shots from the gun. Antoine refused to exit the residence, and the SWAT Team was requested to assist with the apprehension.
After speaking with negotiators, Antoine peacefully surrendered to SWAT officers several hours into the ordeal.
No CMPD officers were injured during this incident.
Antoine was transported to Atrium main hospital to be evaluated, and then he was arrested. Antoine was out on parole for criminal possession of a firearm from New York at the time of this incident.
Antoine is now charged with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm, assault on a female and possession of firearm by felon.
