A shootout resulted in a teenager being killed in Charlotte
On August 29, 2024 Noe Chinchilla, 28, pled guilty to killing Jeferson Cantarero, 16. The victim was shot and killed at apartments on Branchview Drive Charlotte, NC.
Jeferson was killed on June 21, 2022 while he was sitting in a vehicle at the apartment complex. A shootout began and Jeferson along with an 18-year-old were shot.
Jeferson died in the shooting. Noe was arrested on July 11, 2022 in Texas charged with murder. He was extradited back to Charlotte in August 2022. Click here to see teenagers killed in and around Charlotte.
In August 2024 Noe pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter and two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.
Judge Karen Eady-Williams sentenced Noe to 120-168 months in prison.
