Khamarin Floyd, 21, pled guilty to the second degree murder of Aveon Baker, 19, on April 16, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. Aveon was working at Wendy’s when he was killed in the parking lot.
Aveon was shot and killed on April 20, 2022 during a wild murder on Northlake Centre Parkway in Charlotte, NC. Around 9 p.m. Aveon was shot at the fast food parking lot where he worked. Violence at Wendy’s restaurants occurs often.
First responders arrived at the scene and pronounced Aveon dead on the scene.
The suspect was arrested sometime later charged with murder. At his 2025 trial Khamarin pled guilty to murder, possession of a weapon by a prisoner, and malicious conduct by a prisoner.
Judge Archie sentenced him to 125 -162 months in prison.
