MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO MURDERING TEEN

Jalen Boulware, 22, pled guilty to the murder of Terale Claridy-Vaught, 18, on March 9, 2022. The homicide was in Charlotte, NC.

On June 3, 2018 officers were investigating a shooting into a occupied dwelling on Carolina Forest Road. As officers were on scene, shots were fired nearby.

Terale was located with apparent gunshot wounds in the roadway on Carolina Forest Road. He was pronounced deceased on scene. Members of the SWAT Team were activated, but were not able to find anyone at that time.

Jalen was arrested and charged with murder 2 days later.

Jalen’s murder trial was in March 2022. Jalen filed a motion to suppress a statement that was used as evidence in his case. But before the motion was heard at court, Jalen decided to enter a guilty plea. He pled guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to 130-168 months in prison.
