On February 28, 2023 Willie James, 33, cut off his probation ankle monitor in Charlotte, NC. Willie was on probation while he awaited trial, Willie is accused of murdering Matthew Gibbons.
Matthew was murdered on Rhyne Station Road in February 2018. Matthew was shot dead in the front yard of a home.
Days later Willie was arrested and charged with the homicide. Over 5 years later, a trial still has not taken place. But Willie was placed on probation as he awaited trial.
Willie was court ordered to wear an electronic ankle monitor, but he cut it off on February 28, 2023 and made a run for it.
Willie was last known to be in the area of Brookshire Boulevard.
