48-year-old Detreye Walker was murdered on December 2, 2021 at the intersection of Lawyers Road and WT. Harris Blvd. in Charlotte, NC.
In the late 5 p.m. hour officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call on Lawyers Road. Upon arrival, officers located Detreye with an apparent gunshot wound.
Life saving measures were attempted, however Detreye was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detreye and the suspect were known to each other. Homicide detectives are speaking to a person of interest and are not looking for any additional suspects at this time.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation.
