MAN KILLED BY ALLIED COPS AT TRANSIT CENTER, FUNERAL ON BIRTHDAY

Date:

24-year-old Kashaune Teal was shot and killed by Allied Security Officers at the Transit Center in uptown Charlotte, NC on September 8, 2023.

Two Allied Security Officers employed by the EpiCentre advised police that they were dispatched to the loading dock area on East 4th Street in reference to a black male urinating on the wall.

The officers approached Kashaune and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, authorities say Kashaune drew a firearm and pointed it directly at a sworn company police officer.

Cops say, the officer was able to push the gun away and then shot and killed Kashaune. At the moment it is believed more than one officer fired their weapons. On scene Kashaune was pronounced deceased.

Kashaune’s funeral is set for September 22, 2023 which is on his birthday. The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office will determine if the shooting was justified or unjustified.

But unfortunately District Attorney Spencer Merriweather has a history of not prosecuting police when they kill people in Charlotte.

Click here to see how a family won a $1.5 million lawsuit after their loved one was killed by cops at Burger King, Merriweather refused to prosecute the officer.

Also, see how Frankie Jennings, 32, was killed by U.S. Marshalls while pumping gas, Merriweather declined to prosecute the U.S. Marshall in that case too.
