MAN KILLED AFTER TREE FALLS ON HOUSE DURING THUNDER STORM

Paul Saunders, 60, was killed on July 22, 2024 at a residence on Commonwealth Ave. Charlotte, NC during a thunder storm. Paul played live music at a bar called Workman’s Friend.

Paul was in the residence with his wife early Monday morning when a tree fell on his apartment building. Extensive rain and thunderstorms caused the tree to fall.

A gigantic tree fell and knocked power off for thousands of people in Charlotte

The tree was struck by lightning. The tree caved the roof in, instantly trapping multiple people. Paul died on impact.

Paul’s wife Shaleen was injured by the tree fall and had to be hospitalized. Shaleen has since been released from the hospital, but she was not immediately able to return to work.

Paul was a musician and played music for local bars, including the popular bar Workman’s Friend.
