MAN CONVICTED OF KILLING HIS INFANT DAUGHTER

Date:

Todd Boderick was convicted on February 14, 2019 for the 2012 death of his 6-month-old daughter, Keyoni Boderick in Charlotte, NC.

Krishay Mouzon, the mother of Kevoni was also sent to prison for the death in 2016.

The jury found Todd guilty of child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury. The jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict on the murder charge.

At the conclusion of the trial, Todd pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter and being a habitual felon. He was sentenced to 138-178 months in prison.

On the evening of October 25, 2012, Krishay left the baby alone for about 20 minutes with Todd. For the next two days, Keyoni’s body was limp, and she
ate only a portion of her feedings. Yet neither Todd nor Krishay sought medical attention for their daughter.

On the evening of October 27, 2012, Krishay discovered Keyoni was not breathing. Todd told Krishay to wait to call paramedics until the next day.

Deciding not to take Todd’s stupid advice, after 30 minutes, the mother called 911 anyway.

Keyoni was unresponsive and was soon pronounced deceased at an area hospital.

An autopsy revealed Keyoni died from blunt force trauma due to child abuse. Her injuries were consistent with
being shaken.

Krishay pled guilty in 2016 to involuntary manslaughter and child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury. She was sentenced to 41-71 months in prison.
