65-year-old Michael Hawkins is facing ten counts of felony third degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Michael was arrested on June 12, 2020 in Statesville, NC.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a Cyber Tip through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in March 2020 that the suspect was possibly in possession of child pornography. An investigation was launched and detectives took Michael into custody while executing search warrants at his home on June 12.
He was issued a $250,000 secured bond on the charges.
