Anthony Ayala, 25, and Roberto Emanuel Ortiz, 14, were killed in a motorcycle crash on January 19, 2025 on W.T. Harris Blvd. Charlotte, NC. Many people have been killed in motorcycle crashes in Charlotte.
At 1:30 a.m., Anthony was on a Yamaha motorcycle driving at an extremely high rate of speed when he collided with a Ford Fusion car that was attempting to make a left turn onto Hickory Grove Road.
4 people were in the Ford including Roberto Emanuel Ortiz, 14. Passengers of the Ford Fusion, Edgar Zabir Gonzalez-Perez, 20, Sara Perez, and a juvenile age 10 were hurt and transported to the hospital.
Roberto was injured and died at the hospital. Anthony died on scene. Both vehicles had heavy damage in the middle of the intersection.
