The girl’s mom lost her baby Dominique Moody due to multiple arrests and crack cocaine addiction, then the baby stayed with piss poor guardian who let the house get filled with rats and defecation
6-year-old Dominique Moody was killed due to neglect on December 16, 2025 at a home on Gwynne Hill Rd Charlotte, NC. Her mother Ikea McKnight, 30, lost custody of Dominique due to crack cocaine addiction. Dominique’s guardian and caretaker Susan Robinson, 61, let Dominique live in a rat and roach infested house, Dominique had sores on her body due to defecation filled diaper. So the story goes like this, Ikea got pregnant with Dominique. But Ikea admitted to being on crack cocaine and it appears the baby was born with drugs in her system. Ikea was in and out of jail often and she lost custody of baby Dominique.
In comes Susan who some way obtained guardianship caretaker custody of Dominique. Several other children were also under the custody at the house on Gwynne Hill Rd including a one-year-old baby, a four year old kid, and a 2-year-old child. Child abuse is an apparent problem in the United States.

Under Susan’s care the kids were under adverse and cruel treatment, living in filthy conditions. Trash was pilled up inside the home, rats and roaches were crawling inside the house on the carpet and walls.
Defecation from rats and humans were on the floor of the home in plain sight. Dominique had a diaper filled with defecation and was malnourished.

Dominique stopped breathing on December 16th and someone from the home called 911. EMS arrived and found Dominique with her diaper filled with defecation and urine. Dominique had sores on her butt and on her front urinary areas due to constant exposure to feces and urine. Dominique died.


Dominique also had broken bones and ligature scars, along with burns on her body. The house had no centralized heating system.
The other kids in the home were taken to the hospital to be evaluated, and they survived. The kids are now in DSS custody. Susan was arrested four days later on December 20, 2025 charged with several counts of misdemeanor child abuse.
