Mauricio was murdered on Cherrycrest Lane at the apartment complex. Shortly after 7:50 a.m., officers responded to a welfare check 911 call.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Mauricio with a gunshot wound. Medics pronounced Mauricio deceased on the scene. Good Friday murders are rampant in Charlotte.
Mauricio is from a latino country, there was a funeral in Charlotte and a funeral in his home country.
