Knowing that Trump would send ICE to arrest and deport latino illegal immigrants, latinos still voted for Trump in the 2024 elections. 2.1 million people have been deported in 2025 across the nation. 1,900 illegal immigrants have been arrested in North Carolina in the first half of 2025 alone. Immigration arrests in North Carolina have increased dramatically over the 2025 Donald Trump presidency. Of the 1,900 illegal immigrants that have been arrested, 60% of them have already been deported.
527,000 illegal immigrants have been deported under the leadership of Donald Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in 2025.
Another 1.6 million illegal immigrants have voluntarily self deported, given $1,000 and a free plane ride back to their home countries. $1,000 is actually a lot of money in poor latino countries because the American dollar is stronger due to the exchange rate.
The US Department of Homeland Secretary says “ICE also known as Immigration and Custom Enforcement is committed to carry out Trump’s promise of arresting and deporting illegal immigrants who have invaded our country.”
Many latino migrants are now turning back before they even reach United States borders. Migration through Panama’s Darien Gap is down 99.99%.
