On April 17, 2024 Joshua Rowsey, 32, died in Durham, NC. Joshua was a huge talent on the music scene, as he graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
Joshua died suddenly from a heart attack at night. Friends and family found him dead. Joshua was a professor at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill’s Carolina Hip Hop Institute.
He was also a Hip Hop ambassador for the State Department.
The show Ted Talks invited Joshua to speak on rap music and the impact it has in today’s world. Joshua also created his own record label and produced music.
