HIGH SPEED CHASE ON INTERSTATE 77 LEADS TO CHARLOTTE MEN ARRESTED

On July 6, 2023 Avone Williams, 22, and Rasean Mustipher, 32, were arrested after a high speed chase on Interstate 77 in Huntersville, NC.

The men were accused of stealing $2,300 worth of products from Harris Teeter and a Walgreens in Mooresville, NC. Cops spotted the suspects fleeing in a vehicle at 5:50 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated but the suspects did not stop.

A high speed chase then initiated and went on to I-77. The chase made its way into Mecklenburg County in Huntersville. 

Cops deployed stop sticks, which ended the pursuit by blowing out the suspect’s car tires near the Gilead Road exit.

Avone and Rasean were arrested charged with felony larceny, conspiracy to commit felony larceny and destruction of evidence.

Rasean was also charged with felony flee to elude, aggressive driving, driving while license revoked, driving left of center, and failing to stop at a red light.
