Police have arrested 24-year-old Nuemonei Tre Vonne Laster, he is accused of shooting and killing 26-year-old Jeramie Shorter in the parking lot of a funeral home where Jeramie was attending the funeral of his 8-year-old son in Davenport, Iowa. Jeramie’s son died of cancer.
Jeramie was shot Saturday morning August 1, 2020 at the funeral home. A possible motive for the shooting wasn’t immediately known.
Nuemonei was later arrested on charges of first-degree murder, eluding and weapons counts. He is being held on a $300,000 cash bond.
