Montest Mincey, 44, and 21-year-old Maricus Kirk were killed in a double homicide on June 1, 2024 in Rock Hill, SC during the Southland Park Neighborhood Block Party. 4 people were shot total making this a quadruple shooting.
500 people were gathered at the party. At 10 p.m. a burst of gunshots rang out at the block party. Montest and Maricus were shot. Unfortunately they both died on scene. 25 shots were fired. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Two other people were also shot, but they survived. No arrests have been made. It has been determined that the block party will not take place next year due to this year’s violence.
