CHILD AGE 3 WAS KILLED AFTER BEING SHOT IN HEAD, IN MIDDLE OF CUSTODY DISPUTE

3-year-old Carter Jimenez was shot and killed on February 21, 2024 via a self inflicted gunshot wound in Charlotte, NC.

Just before 6 p.m. Carter was at a residence on Eastway Drive. Carter found an unsecured gun and accidentally shot himself in the head.

911 was called, and an ambulance rushed little Carter to the hospital as he was bleeding heavily and had life threatening injuries.

But unfortunately little Carter died at the hospital during emergency surgery. Carter’s parents were in the middle of a child custody dispute with Carter.

5-year-old Lyric Thomas was shot and killed on New Year’s Day 2023

It is unknown what parent Carter was in the presence in when he found the gun and shot himself.

Nevertheless, no arrests have been made yet.
