Alejandro Castillo is a Ten Most Wanted Fugitive accused of killing a female in Charlotte and then crossing the Mexico border
Alejandro Castillo was arrested on January 16, 2026 accused of murdering 23-year-old Truc Quan Ly Le. Alejandro was on the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitive list. Truc lived in Charlotte, NC. This was deemed a cold case because Truc was found dead in August 2016.

Alejandro and Truc worked together at a Showmars restaurant in Charlotte. Truc’s dead body was found on August 17, 2016 in a wooded area of Cabarrus County, NC. Alejandro was seen on surveillance video crossing the border from Nogales, Arizona into Mexico on August 16, 2016.
A state arrest warrant was issued for Alejandro on November 2, 2016, charging him with first degree murder. On February 10, 2017, a federal arrest warrant was issued in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina charging Alejandro with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
For nearly ten years, special agents worked to develop leads to locate Alejandro. Alejandro was captured in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico, on January 16, 2026.
The FBI’s Law Enforcement Attache Office in Mexico City coordinated with Agencia de Investigación Criminal-INTERPOL (AIC-INTERPOL) Vetted Team and the Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana (SSPC).
Alejandro is detained in Mexico City pending extradition proceedings to North Carolina.
