Karina Castro, 27, was murdered during a beheading with a sword on September 8, 2022 in San Carlos, California. 33-year-old Jose Raphael Solano Landaeta is accused of murdering Karina. The two were dating. Karina was a mother of two kids ages 7 and 1.
Karina and Jose were arguing outside Karina’s home. Jose is then accused of using a sword to cut Karina’s head off. The victim’s head was dismembered from her body and it rolled onto the street under a car.
The suspect is accused of leaving the scene. Reportedly, there were witnesses of the crime.
911 was called and Karina was pronounced deceased. Her 2 kids were inside the home during the homicide. Jose came back to the scene a few hours later and police arrested him on murder related charges.
