Shaquille Polk, 28, died on August 28, 2022 at the Anson County Jail in Wadesboro, NC.
Shaquille was an inmate at the jail. During his stay at the jail, Shaquille fell ill from unknown causes. Shaquille repeatedly asked for medical care and to go to a hospital.
For whatever reason, Shaquille was not given the proper care.
It was not until days later that jail staff finally took Shaquille to the hospital due to the serious illness that he was complaining about. However, it was too late, as Shaquille unfortunately died at the hospital.
