BIDEN WINS ELECTION, KAMALA HARRIS FIRST BLACK VICE PRESIDENT

Date:

As of November 7, 2020 Joe Biden has just won the Presidency of The United States of America. Not only that, but for the first time in history Kamala Harris who is a black woman will be the first female and black person Vice President of The United States of America.

After a long contested election, on November 7, 2020 Pennsylvania pushed Biden and Harris to 284 electoral college votes to pass President Donald Trump in a landslide victory. Trump had a measly 214 electoral votes.

Biden and Harris only needed 270 electoral votes to win. Election Day was on November 3, 2020 and Americans are not use to seeing presidential elections go on for days. But because of the Coronravirus, many paper absentee ballots had to be counted by hand, and many ballots came in after election day, even though they were postmarked by election day, hence meeting all voting guidelines.

President Donald Trump has vowed to sue states to get recounts, because he believes false invalid votes were counted to help Biden and Harris win the election. Trump will not leave the White House easily.

The legal battle over the White House can take a long time when a sitting president refuses to leave. Worst case scenario, Nancy Pelosi who is the Speaker of The House of Representatives will take over as temporary President of The United States if the election is still being contested by Trump in January 2021.
