21-year-old Shantel Harper and 24-year-old Anthony Stevenson were shot and killed on November 1, 2021 in Lenoir, NC. Shantel’s 6 month old baby was also shot, and is in critical condition. Shantel and Anthony were in a relationship.
There was a domestic disturbance at a home in Lenoir at noon, several shots were fired and police responded to the scene.
Shantel, Anthony, and the baby were all found shot and injured.
Medics arrived and rendered lifesaving first aid to the injured individuals. The three injured were taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The baby was airlifted to the hospital and is listed in critical condition at this time.
Shantel and Anthony were pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officers say one of the victims shot the other victims and then shot themself. The case is listed as a murder suicide.
