ARREST MADE AFTER SOUTH MECKLENBURG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT MURDERED

On Thursday, July 13, 2023 Reginald Moses, 19, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested charged with the homicide of Saivon Lockhart, 17, in Charlotte, NC. The victim was a recent graduate of South Mecklenburg High School.

 Saivon was shot and killed on July 8, 2023 shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Turtle Point Road Charlotte, NC. Upon the shooting Saivon was transported using private vehicle to an area hospital. 

Saivon was pronounced deceased upon arrival to the hospital.

As a result of the continued investigation, detectives identified two suspects. Reginald and the minor teen suspect were arrested and charged with murder, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
