On February 11, 2022 Bruce Adams, 30, was arrested and charged with the murder of 28-year-old Fred Edwards. The victim was murdered on Christmas Day 2021 in Charlotte, NC.
Bruce was first arrested in Atlanta, and then extradited to Charlotte. The FBI helped coordinate the arrest of Bruce with the assistance of the the U.S. Secret Service.
Shortly after 2:13 a.m. on Christmas 2021, officers responded to reports of someone shot on Beatties Ford Road. When officers arrived, they located two adult male victims with apparent gunshot wounds.
One of the victims identified as Fred Edwards was pronounced deceased on scene by emergency medics. The other victim was transported to the hospital with a non life threatening injury.
A third victim with gunshot wounds was self transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
