Sexual assault detectives have arrested Justinian Henderson, 31. He is charged with sexual assault from cases in 2018 and 2019. Justinian was arrested on February 12, 2021.
The first alleged sexual assault was at 5:40 a.m. on August 3, 2018, a then-33-year-old female was walking home from work on North Caldwell Street Charlotte, NC when a male suspect moved her against her will and sexually assaulted her. She was treated at a nearby hospital, and DNA evidence was collected as a result of the investigation.
The second was in the early morning hours of March 20, 2019 a then-23-year-old female reported she was on Chipley Avenue Charlotte, NC when a male suspect pointed a weapon at her, moved her against her will and sexually assaulted her. She was treated at a nearby hospital, and DNA evidence was collected as a result of the investigation.
On January 14, 2021, a DNA match identified Justinian in both cases, detectives say. The suspect’s DNA was initially tested in 2019 and sent to the lab for comparison.
Justinian is charged with four counts of first-degree rape, and first-degree kidnapping for the 2018 case. Justinian was additionally charged with three counts of first-degree rape, first-degree sex offense, first-degree kidnapping, assault by pointing a gun and assault on a female for the 2019 case.
