2 SUSPECTS INVOLVED IN HIGH SPEED POLICE CHASE

Date:

Chase Bruton, 22, and Emanual Allen, 24, were arrested on February 10, 2021 after a high speed chase in Lincoln County North Carolina.

A deputy noticed a grayish blue BMW SUV with a burnt out brake light leaving a Quik Trip gas station on Highway 73. The deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop and when officers approached the BMW, the driver allegedly sped up to flee from the traffic stop. The deputy pursued the BMW but eventually lost sight of it.

A short time later Lincoln police received a call about a car wreck involving the BMW. Officers say additional law enforcement units responded to set up a perimeter as the occupants fled the wreck scene on foot.

The suspects were found in a subdivision home still under construction.

Chase is charged with felony fleeing to elude, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, speeding, traffic violations, damage to property, and breaking and entering.

Emanuel is charged with resisting arrest, delaying and obstructing a public officer, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, larceny of a motor vehicle, damage to property, and breaking and entering.
