70-year-old Julia Dixon was a patient at Carolinas Medical Center near downtown Charlotte, but she ended up being a inmate in the Mecklenburg County Jail after getting arrested on March 14, 2018. Ms. Dixon is on oxygen and she is elderly with severe medical complications.
Hospital staff asked Ms. Dixon to leave the property after her medical procedure, but Ms. Dixon still in pain refused to leave the property.
Police were called and Ms. Dixon still refused to leave the property, that was when cops arrested Ms. Dixon and took her to jail.
Ms. Dixon was also banned from the hospital by staff in the presence of officers. Ms. Dixon was charged with trespassing.
