Dive teams were brought in to pull the dead body of a kid from the lake
On June 17, 2026 a 7-year-old child was killed in a lake on Lady Bell Drive Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The kid jumped in the water around 6 p.m. The kid never resurfaced and drowned. EMS were called in along with emergency dive teams. The dive teams searched the retention pond and pulled the victim out of the water.
The kid was taken to Atrium Health Hospital with life threatening injuries. The kid was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
