Just days before Christmas, Walmart employees were accused of embezzlement

Walmart says that between November 2024 and December 2024 Yenselle and Daniya unlawfully took and facilitated the removal of various items totaling $4,731.51 in value.
Yenselle is accused of accepting returned items from customers and placing them in a box under the cash register, along with items she had purchased, which were stored in a bag.

When Yenselle completed her shift, she is accused of placing the returned merchandise in her bag with her purchased items and left the store.

Court documents say Yenselle had an unauthorized code enabling her to override the system and void transactions.

Yenselle is accused of sharing the code with Daniya. Daniya is accused of using the code to ring up items, and issue voided receipts to individuals.
Daniya is accused of voiding $4,678.78 worth of merchandise. Walmart had video footage, photographs, and documentation regarding the incidents. Both suspects were employed as customer service representatives and cashiers.
Daniya and Yenselle were arrested charged with embezzlement.
