A grandfather and a female were killed in a crash
Theodore McCorkle, 64, and Christina Whitman, 55, were killed in a car wreck with a city water truck, the crash was on June 12, 2025 on Monroe Road Charlotte, NC. Theodore was a grandfather of 4.
Christina was driving a Honda Civic when she crossed the yellow line and ran head on into a Charlotte Water truck. Theodore was a passenger in the Honda. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Both vehicles sustained extensive front end damage. Christina and Theodore were transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the city water truck also went to the hospital with serious injuries.
Theodore died that same day at the hospital. On June 20, 2025 Christina succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
