On May 30, 2023 Allen Leach, 20, and Nevaeh Deas, 19, were charged with the murder of Lamar Weathers, 38. The victim was murdered on North Tryon Street Charlotte, NC at a motel.
Lamar was shot and killed on July 16, 2022 at a motel. 911 calls were made regarding shots fired. Officers arrived to the scene and found Lamar dead at the motel a little after midnight.
Nearly a year later evidence was gathered, and Allen along with Nevaeh were arrested during the morning hours of May 30th.
The suspects were transported to the Law Enforcement Center to speak with homicide detectives. At the conclusion of the interviews, the suspects were transferred into the custody of the Mecklenburg County Jail.At this time, Allen is charged with murder, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and promoting prostitution. Nevaeh is charged with murder, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and misdemeanor prostitution.
