$100,000 in cash fell off of an Garda World armored truck on September 14, 2023 on Sunset Road Charlotte, NC. The cash drop was at 10 a.m. during a malfunction of the doors on the armored truck. Several people briskly made their way to the free money.
Bins of cash were in the back of the Garda World armored truck. Crates of money fell off the Garda World armored truck after a back door malfunctioned in some way. Some call this a ghetto lottery, as some of the people who took the money were on hard times.
The crates of money busted open the doors and the containers of cash spilled onto the streets. Money was in the air and on the ground.
Swarms of people began taking the money, some people even stopping their vehicles in traffic and running to the money.
Cops were called, but by the time they had arrived, the ghetto lottery winners had already taken $100,000 cash.
More than $100,000 fell out onto the streets, but in a short 5 minute span the takers were able to get only $100,000 of the cash.
