A smuggler in a utility truck led Department of Public Safety Troopers on a vehicle pursuit in Kingsville, Texas. The chase was in October 2022.
Troopers tried to pull over the utility truck, and when it stopped, several illegal immigrants got out of the bed of the truck and began to run away.
During the pursuit the driver and several illegal immigrants bailed out into the brush. A total of 15 illegal immigrants were referred to Border Patrol.
Some of them however were able to escape to freedom.
