New medical findings show that fentanyl is the drug that killed Uri Small, 25, in Charlotte, NC on February 12, 2024.

Uri Small

Uri was found deceased in a motel in which he resided in Charlotte. Drug paraphernalia was present at the scene.

A latino man was accused of selling drugs at LongHorn Steakhouse, unrelated to Uri’s case

Uri had 110ng/mL of fentanyl in his blood. Fentanyl is a powerful respiratory suppressant and can cause a cessation of breathing.

Taisha McCleary died from a fentanyl, methamphetamine, and carfentanil, overdose

Uri died as a result of fentanyl toxicity. Uri’s oral cavity, esophagus, stomach, and intestines all were grossly unremarkable.

After death examinations revealed no evidence of acute injury. Uri was a young father.
