MAN MADE $90,000 IN UNDERCOVER DEA DRUG DEAL, HAD 10 BRICKS OF METHAMPHETAMINE

On December 13, 2023 Joel Vargas-Meza, 34, was sentenced to 225-282 months in prison for trafficking meth in Charlotte, NC. The DEA set up a sting operation.

On June 8, 2021 undercover DEA agents arranged to buy drugs from Joel at 217 Iverson Way Charlotte, NC which is at a department store parking lot.

Joel arrived to the location and gave the undercover agents 10 kilograms of meth in exchange for a large amount of cash over $90,000.

Once the deal was made DEA agents and police officers moved in to arrest Joel. He was charged with trafficking meth. 

At his December 2023 trial, Joel was tried for trafficking in methamphetamine. After all of the evidence was presented to the jury, Joel pled guilty. 

Judge Archie sentenced Joel to 225-282 months in prison.
