Latino drug cartel members were in multiple cars with 101 kilograms of meth
In July 2026 101 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized in Union County, NC. Several people were arrested in the drug bust that were members of the latino drug cartels. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Narcotics Investigators with the Union County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), received information regarding a large shipment of methamphetamine being transported into Union County.
Investigators identified multiple vehicles believed to be involved in transporting the narcotics and conducted a coordinated enforcement operation. The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 101 kilograms of methamphetamine and multiple individuals were arrested.
These individuals are believed to have ties to a Mexican drug trafficking organization. The names of the suspects arrested were not noted by the Union county police.
