$1.8 MILLION WORTH OF MARIJUANA FOUND IN STASH HOUSE

Date:

On April 5, 2022 federal officials and cops shut down a stash house yielding the apprehension of several undocumented immigrants and the seizure of 100 bundles of marijuana in Laredo, Texas.

An investigation led to the discovery of the stash house. Authorities arrived at the house and began a search of the residence. Over 30 illegal immigrants were found along with the seizure of over 100 bundles of marijuana which weighed over 2,300 lbs.

The undocumented individuals were identified as being from the countries of Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. The marijuana was discovered with the assistance of a U.S. Border Patrol Service canine and had an estimated street value of over $1,800,000.

All undocumented individuals were medically screened and provided with personal protective equipment. The seized narcotics and individuals were taken into custody to be processed accordingly.

Stash houses are a threat to communities due to the lack of sanitary conditions which can foster a breeding ground for illnesses or other communicable diseases.
