An adult woman identified as Ebony Patton, 32, was shot and killed on July 7, 2021 on Elmin Street Charlotte, NC.
The deadly shooting was close to 4 a.m. in west Charlotte. Patrol officers were dispatched to an assault with a deadly weapon situation. Officers located Ebony suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medics responded to the situation and they pronounced Ebony deceased on the scene.
Crime Scene Search responded to the call to process the scene and collect physical evidence. This is an ongoing active investigation.
Ebony’s murder is now the 7th homicide in Charlotte in less than 2 weeks.
Travell Moore, 16, was shot and killed on July 4, 2021.
Jason Farmer, 24, was shot and killed on July 2, 2021.
Joshua Hollingsworth, 20, was shot and killed on June 29, 2021.
