26-year-old Demontrel Murphy is charged with the murder of Yulonda Hollis, 49. The woman was shot and killed in Kannapolis, NC on August 31, 2021.
Yulonda was shot at a home on Packard Avenue around 4 p.m. The Kannapolis Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls about the shooting, and they responded to the scene.
Yulonda was found shot, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Shortly after the homicide, Demontrel was identified as a suspect and arrested.
Demontrel was charged with first-degree murder.
