Garinger High School went on lockdown on October 5, 2021 after several gunshots were fired near the school at a gas station across the street. The school is located at 1100 Eastway Dr. Charlotte, NC.
Around 7 a.m. before the first bell, shots were fired at the 7-Eleven gas station across from the high school on Eastway Drive.
One of the suspects involved in the shooting ran toward Garinger High School. A loaded gun was found at Garinger during a search of the gym.
No injuries have been reported. A teacher at Garinger High School killed herself after being arrested and charged with indecent liberties with a student.
Police officers were seen escorting a male away from the school and detaining him in the back of a police car. K-9 units were also at the school.
Garinger High School had roaches during a health inspection where they scored an 88 B.
Also, during another health inspection, the school had dried yellow stains on the toilets.
A student at Garinger High School was killed while crossing the street, she was hit by a car.
