On November 6, 2019, Emma Ogle, 63, killed herself. Her husband 59-year-old Michael Ogle was also killed.
Emma was arrested on Halloween night 2019 and accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student, crime against nature with a student and felony indecent liberties with a student.
On November 6 just after 8:00 AM, officers with the Huntersville Police Department responded to 9800 Hambright Road Huntersille, NC in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon call.
It was learned through the investigation that Michael did not show up for work in the morning and was not answering calls. This prompted a family relative to go to the residence to check on him. Once the family member arrived at the residence, they observed Emma with a handgun and Michael deceased inside.
After failed attempts to make contact with Emma, at approximately 9:51 AM, members of the North Mecklenburg Regional Swat Team approached the residence and made entry. At approximately 9:58 AM, SWAT members confirmed that two individuals, Emma and Michael Ogle, were deceased inside the residence from apparent gunshot wounds.
